Towards LNRS delivery - Delivery partners Workshop

This workshop is an invite-only event for representatives from the key organisations in Sussex involved in the delivery of nature recovery or helping to enable this.

Attendee organisations will include our Protected Landscapes, government agencies, nature and environmental NGOs, catchment partnerships, local authorities and farming and land-management organisations.

Background: 

Publication of the Sussex LNRS later in June marks the end of their preparation phase.  Hence, the focus is now moving towards delivery.

The 48 Responsible Authorities across England have been given four functions by DEFRA to enable the delivery of the LNRS.  

This workshop therefore aims to: 

• Get attendees familiar with the four functions.
• Start a conversation about how they might work in practice.
• Give attending organisations the opportunity to shape a delivery mechanism that works for them and for the wider Sussex system.
• Deepen our understanding of the blockers to delivery and work together to identify where our Responsible Authorities (East Sussex County Council and West Sussex County Council) can really add value.

The workshop will take place at Kew Wakehurst.
